Postponed until October 3rd

ANNOUNCEMENT: Eats on the Street, originally scheduled for July 18 in the Kenton Historic Courthouse District is postponed until October 3, and will be held in conjunction with Hardin County Young Professionals Little Pumpkin Fest.

In consideration of the current COVID-19 situation, and after consultation with the local health department, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Eats on the Street until October.

We know that all of you are excited for all the great food and entertainment at THE social event of the season, and we are looking forward to being able to deliver a fantastic event to you this fall.

Thank you to our veteran's.

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance’s Tourism Committee is encouraging county residents to conduct driving tours to visit historical markers and veterans banners in the county.

Committee member Stephanie Temple (left) holds brochures identifying the locations of the historical markers throughout the county and Sheena Striker holds a pamphlet which leads families to the locations of the individual veterans banners. The material will be available in the vestibule of the Alliance on South Detroit Street in Kenton throughout the weekend.

Roger Crowe, organizer of the veterans banner project, holds one of the banners which are displayed in Kenton and Dunkirk. There are 391 located in Kenton and about 25 in Dunkirk this year, he said.

A map identifying the location of the banners is available on the group’s Facebook page at hardincountyvetsbanners.com.

September 7th | All Day | Hardin County Fairgrounds Arena

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance would like to invite all members to join in the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance Buyer's Group. This is a group of members that have joined together to purposefully bid on animals at the junior livestock auction on Saturday, September 7th at the Hardin County Fair.

By joining together, this group will have the ability to positively impact the youth of Hardin County by supporting agriculture in what is considered to be a significantly challenging year. These funds lend support to generations who have given hard work, time, and passion to Hardin County and help to build our future.

By donating in $100 increments or more to this fund, small businesses that might not otherwise have the opportunity to support such a worthy cause, can join in and make a large impact on our agricultural community and our youth. Alliance representatives will be present to make bids at the livestock auction and your business will receive credit as part of the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance Buyer's Group if the group should win the bid.

If your business is interested in joining in the buyer's group, please email jpurcell@hccba.com or call 419-673-4131. The deadline for participation is Thursday, September 5th at 4:30pm.
