Alliance Announces Staff Changes and Job Openings

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance announced today the posting of three employment positions within the organization.

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance announced today the posting of three employment positions within the organization.

The Alliance is looking to hire a Director of Chamber and Tourism, a Marketing and Member Services Administrator and a part-time Kenton Historic Courthouse District (HCD) Coordinator.  More details regarding the job postings will be published on the Alliance’s social media pages and local media outlets.

The Marketing and Member Services position is a newly created role, focused on providing communication to our members and to the public, in addition to serving as the front line for service to our membership.

The Director of Chamber and Tourism position is becoming available due to the recent resignation and upcoming departure of Jesse Purcell, who currently holds this title.  She has accepted a position with another organization and her last day with the Alliance will be April 16.

Jacqualine Fitzgerald has also resigned her position, and will be leaving the Alliance at the end of this month, creating the opening for Kenton HCD Coordinator.  Fitzgerald's Community Development duties will be absorbed into the Economic Development role, currently held by Holli Underwood, who also serves as Alliance President and CEO. Fitzgerald plans to remain involved in the activities of the Alliance and the HCD through volunteer work and assisting with the downtown flower project throughout the summer.

Underwood stated that, “While the organization is making some changes, we are excited for the opportunities that this restructuring presents.  We wish Jesse and Jacqualine the best in their future endeavors and thank them for their years of service to the organization and Hardin County community.”

The Alliance Board of Directors released this statement: "On Friday, April 9, 2021, the Board of Directors for the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance met to begin discussing the strategic vision of our services.  The HCCBA will continue serving the needs of our members throughout the county every day.  While there will be changes in the structure of the organization in the near future, our service to the community will not change.  As always, the HCCBA will communicate these upcoming programmatic enhancements to the public as they are implemented."
