Safety Council Innovation Contest | July 31, 2017 - December 31, 2017

It is our goal as the Hardin County Safety Council to encourage our businesses to create a safer more wellness minded culture within their own organizations. Between July 1st and December 31st 2017, we encourage safety innovation teams to brainstorm, select and execute one safety or wellness idea to be submitted to the Hardin County Safety Council for determination of winning a cash prize up to $1,000. Winners will be announced in January 2018 with a check presentation to commence at the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance Annual Dinner in February. All participants must be active members of the Hardin County Safety Council.

Get Your 2016 Award Nominations In Now!

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance is now accepting nominations for the 2016 Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Community Service Awards. 

Anyone from Hardin County may be nominated to receive these honors.  A panel of judges from Alliance members will make the final decision, and the recipients will be revealed Thursday, February 23, 2017 during the Alliance's annual meeting held at Ohio Northern University's McIntosh Center.

Selection of Citizen of the Year will be based upon an individual's outstanding achievements and contributions which have made Hardin County better.

To be considered for the Business of the Year award, a business or industry that gives back to the community, support local business, and create or encourage job growth.

To be considered for the Small Business of the Year award, a business or industry with 50 employees or less that gives back to the community, support local business, and create or encourage job growth.

The Community Service Award is given to an individual, group or business who has dedicated themselves to helping others and improving our community.

To nominate a person, group or business for these awards, please click on the link below and complete the  application.

Start your holiday shopping early this year at the 30th Annual Christmas Around the Square Craft Fair. The Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 12 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Hardin County Historic Courthouse in downtown Kenton. 

 

Sponsored by the Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance, the Craft Fair features three floors filled with arts, crafts, and home party dealers. The Kenton Top 20 will perform holiday music at 9:30 am. Homemade food is provided by the Hardin County Homemakers.

 

The annual basket auction begins at 11:00 am in Veteran’s Hall in the courthouse. The auction features baskets with some truly unique containers. As always, they are filled with beautiful gift items, and various gift certificates from local businesses. These auction items make wonderful decorations as well as gifts for everyone on your holiday shopping list.

Are you ready for another night of great food, fun and football? 

The Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance and its Kenton Historic Courthouse District Committee presents the BUCKEYE BASH Game Watch Party, as the Ohio State Buckeye Football Team travels to take on the Wisconsin Badgers! 

Join us Saturday evening, October 15th in the Kenton Historic Courthouse District, starting at 5:00 p.m., to tailgate and watch the OSU football game on a jumbo screen, with kickoff starting at 8:00 p.m. 

Food trucks and beer & wine tents onsite to enjoy some tasty eats and cold drinks before and during the game. Possible corn-hole tournament to take place as well. 

This is a free event, with money raised going towards the beautification and revitalization of Kenton's Historic Courthouse District.
