The Home Savings and Loan Company of Kenton, Ohio has served the local community for more than 128 years and is the oldest financial institution in Hardin County. We opened our doors in 1888 at 112 N. Detroit Street where WKTN radio station is now and later moved a couple of doors away to 116 N. Detroit Street where we were located for nearly 70 years. In 1965 our present location at 116 East Franklin Street was constructed with several additions to the building made over the years.
In June of last year we launched a rebranding of the bank to “HSLC”. Although the official name has not changed the bank has evolved over the years into more than a home lender by offering all types of deposit accounts and various types of lending products including agriculture loans, commercial loans, leases, automobile loans. We also offer other services such as insurance and wealth management products so the rebranding to HSLC was a logical progression.
Along with the rebranding our new tag line “Infinite Opportunities” is a true reflection of the direction of the bank. We are proud to be a community bank and our rebranding process shows the commitment the bank has to Kenton and Hardin County.
